Independent Award-Winning Hip-Hop recording artist Rawboss

     Born March 26, 1986 in Longview TX, raised by a single mother and living with two brothers, rapper Rawboss born Christopher Ford, would get his name at the age of 13 from his street affiliation and childhood aggression. He started out freestyling, battle rapping & self recording himself on cassette tapes as his first taste of the hip-hop culture. Older rappers back then in the Texas music scene weren't fond of welcoming young rappers until they were more of age, but that never stopped his drive.

   With just a keyboard, a pen & a pad, he continued following his dream and aspiration until he landed a record deal at 17. Unfortunately, his producer and CEO was robbed in Dallas, TX & quit all-together leaving Raw without a deal the day he was scheduled to sign on as the label's primary artist.

   Time ensued and he soon realized that his only way into hip-hop would have to be on his own will. He then started his own record label Rawbigad Empire in 2010 and a year after his start-up he found his past life catching up to him as he ended up convicted of a felony. Pinned as the leader of a crime he was going along with he watched his company fall to pieces while locked behind bars in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) system.

   Upon his release, he felt determined to get back on his feet. He began producing mixtapes for artists in Tyler,TX and soon moved back to his hometown Longview,TX to nurse his mother suffering of Lupus back to health and began recording his debut EP "Borrow My Eyes". It was then, he reached out to Tiffany Gaines after collaborating with Nick Caster on a crossover hip-hop/rock & roll Smash Hit "Ride All Night" that his life would change.  

 

   Rawboss raps about the world and changes he wishes would happen while trying to shake the street life that he can't seem to escape.

 

     He continues to promote a positive message and spark minds both young and old as a social activist, along with having people fall in love with hip-hop all over again. He raps with heartfelt lyricism while establishing himself as a household name and a role model in society. Raw designs his on shoes with his Designer Line "Bigadi™" and recently released his first official signature shoe "Bigadi Pro Elites™" to tackle the fashion industry & bring awareness to Lupus & Living Without Doubts. 

     

     Rawboss entered the rap scene with the mixtape "Raw N Da H60D" (2011) available on DatPiff.com. After facing probation and incarceration in the Texas Criminal Department of Corrections, he has began to work on more serious projects. He is scheduled to appear on several albums as a guest feature along with the release of his own album "Rawbaghdad : Dictator of the Nation". He completed his work on EP "Borrow My Eyes" with UK super producer Ali Latif (Khaszmusic) & the Texas remake version "Borrow My Purple" slowed down & chopped by DJ Wallace Mays. He has been featured on (3) three Coast2Coast Mixtapes both hosted by Coast2Coast CEO Lil'Fats (#NextUp Vol. 204 & #NextUp Vol. 206) and was placed on Coast2Coast Mixtapes Presents Hottest In Texas Vol. 4.

He has appeared on Radio Show "Independent Everything" hosted by Delshun, Nakiya & Franz and is scheduled to re-appear soon. He will be on AllThingsFranz.com Radio soon, and has made a guest appearance with FCCFreeRadio - Francisco's Alternative Radio Hosted by Lilycat in San Francisco, California November 30, 2014. He made an appearance on Apollo Night LA Radio Show & Buckstown Radio The Edge On Air.
